Our group is currently writing letters to government officials in Iran to urge the immediate release of Journalist Roxana Saberi, who has been jailed since January 2009 on charges of espionage. She has dual U.S. & Iranian citizenship and was born in North Dakota. In April she was sentenced to 8 years after a brief closed door trial. She has been on a hunger strike since her sentencing. Please join us in this effort, for more information go to:
11 May 09. U.S. born journalist Roxana Saberi will be freed soon after an Iranian appeals court cut her eight-year sentence for espionage to a suspended two-year term, her lawyer said. Thanks to everyone who wrote letters to the Iranian government on her behalf.
